Fear of not Being Good Enough

We are the apple of His eye (Grand-daughter Kayden)

We are everything to God.  We are the “apple of His eye” (Deut. 32:10, Ps. 17:8, Zech 2:8).  The Spanish translation is closer to the original Greek; it says that each of us is the “pupil of His eye.”  How quickly do we know when someone touches the pupil of our eye?  Instantly, right?

We are so precious to Him that we are blessed, chosen, blameless, predestined, accepted, redeemed, and forgiven recipients of His grace as it tells us in Ephesians 1:3-7.  My eyes linger on the word accepted for it is the word I need to hear when I fear that I am not good enough.  Does the word accepted make your shoulders relax the way it does mine?  Accepted–or charitóó–means to grace, highly honor, or greatly favor.  How can we feel we are not measuring up when God Almighty resides in us, adopts us into His family, and graces us with high honor?
