And Yet More About God’s Peace

9 Jul

We learned in Phil. 4:6 and 7 that when we give our worries to God, Peace guards our hearts.  We learned in Ephesians 2:14a that Jesus is our peace.  Let’s deepen that understanding a bit with Psalm 127 which tells us, “Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”

We cannot guard our hearts and minds ourselves.  We need to involve Jesus immediately, and not try to “hide” our worries from Him, nor try to handle them on our own.  Instead we give them to Him.  From the silliest to the scariest worry, we just hand them over to Him to deal with.
